Sourcing
To be born. To live. To die. A circular movement. Never-ending. From the seed to the earth to the ashes.
A womb. A potential place of protection and care. Comfort and growth. Where it is warm and where it flows. Love. Food. Body liquids. A supply center. A home. A beginning.
Warm, moist earth slides through my fingers. At first without a trace. Then it gets stuck in my fingernails. My skin becomes brown, rough and colder. The bag becomes empty. I'm getting cold. Can I rest and ground myself on the earth and become warm again? A vessel for new experiences. Or can I go back to the source? Recharge. Start over?
A Butoh-inspired performance facilitated by Sandro Massai.
